Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, I am a professionally trained paint-sprayer with 15 years experience of airbrush painting. Previously working as a professional figurine, bust and statuette painter, and also away from painting worked in retail and merchandising for a number of years.
The London and provincial bus models produced under the Network Evolution name are spray painted to the highest standard for code 3's, in terms of attention to detail, quality of finish offered and in the overall presentation and collectability of each model. The model's are specifically produced to varying levels of detail in order to suit all collectors and all pockets.
London Transport models are produced and sold under licence to Transport for London.
All spray painting is performed with an airbrush using high quality coach enamels. Models are fully stripped to their bare shells and carefully prepped prior to painting. A very high quality flawless paint finish is achieved using a conventional compressed air system operated at very high pressure, typically between 50-70psi.
Many bus models feature additional detail in the form of photo-etched brass parts which are manufactured in-house by my business, these parts are not available to purchase separately and are not available to any other code 3 bus producer making the NE models truly unique.
Transfers required for each model that are not available off-the-shelf are designed and printed bespoke and this work is undertaken by a specialist printing firm based in the UK with much of the artwork designed and prepared in-house beforehand. Transfers are not amatuer produced on a home computer.
Modern image railway models are built to various different specifications. As a former figurine painter, weathering detail and finish is to a high standard with highly realistic end results achievable.
